NAEC Fall Convention & Exposition

And I've Never Been to Boston in the Fall

There’s considerable lore about New England and the beauty of the Fall leaves. We’ve never had the opportunity to visit this part of the country during the Fall before, but, thanks to this year’s NAEC Fall Convention and Exposition, we are going to check this experience off of our Bucket List while also connecting with our customers and industry colleagues.

What is NAEC?

The National Association of Elevator Contractors (NAEC) can trace its beginnings to the 1940s when a private elevator company and some of their industry friends got together for fish fries. By 1950, more companies were interested in participating, a charter was crafted and the professional association was formed. Amid changes in leadership and structure, NAEC continued to grow steadily for 30 years. Lots of changes came about in the 90s, when membership exploded, their permanent headquarters was established (in Conyers, GA), and they established a formidable presence globally. It was during this time of substantial growth that Technical Specialties Company, Inc. joined the NAEC organization.

How does Technical Specialties serve the elevator industry?

Technical Specialties has been providing Elevator Astragals to the elevator industry for more than 30 years. As a custom manufacturer of elevator astragals for center closing doors, Technical Specialties Company, Inc. offers our customers the benefit of our extensive experience, low cost tooling and competitive pricing (with small minimum quantities). We offer a wide variety of standard astragal profiles, or, if your project requires, we can help you to develop a custom part. In addition, we can manufacture UL approved compounds and have the capability to fabricate astragals with a pressure sensitive adhesive.

Coming to NAEC? Stop by and see us!

We are looking forward to seeing several of our loyal Elevator Manufacturing Customers at the NAEC Convention. Whether you are an existing customer or an organization that may be interested in learning more about how we can help you, please take a moment to stop by our booth and say “Hi.” We’ll be exhibiting on Wednesday, September 30th and Thursday, October 1 at booth 683 at the Boston Convention Center.
